Terms and Conditions
Effective and last updated: September 13, 2026
Clear expectations for estimates, authorized work, appointments and use of our website.
Before work begins: We confirm the service, price and authorization with you. Sending a form does not authorize repairs. These terms preserve all mandatory consumer rights and legal warranties.
1. Scope and service requests
These terms describe use of the Pneus Empire website and the basis on which we discuss and provide tire, maintenance, mechanical, roadside and related services. The service-specific estimate, work authorization, invoice and any separately accepted storage, loaner or membership agreement define the work you purchase. Mandatory consumer protections always apply.
A form submission, quick message or automated acknowledgement is a request for contact. It does not confirm an appointment, dispatch, product availability, final diagnosis or repair authorization. A member of our team must confirm the arrangements with you. You must be the vehicle owner or have authority to request the work.
3. Prices, inclusions and payment
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable GST and QST are extra unless expressly included. The standard fully synthetic oil change is $89.99 (standard) plus taxes for eligible domestic and Asian vehicles and includes up to 5 L of oil, a standard cartridge or spin-on filter and labour. Oil specification and fitment must suit the vehicle.
The European oil-change package starts at $145.99 (standard) plus taxes with up to 6 L of LIQUI MOLY oil included and a MANN filter cartridge. The required specification, quantity and package eligibility are confirmed for your vehicle before authorization. Additional oil, a special filter or other work outside the stated package is identified and priced before you agree to it.
Mechanical work is charged for parts plus labour at $130 per hour, plus applicable taxes. The estimate sets out the planned work and labour charge; diagnostic time is not automatically included in a later repair. Any applicable dispatch, after-hours or other separately quoted service charge must be disclosed and authorized. Payment arrangements are confirmed before work; amounts lawfully due are payable as stated on the agreed invoice.
Vehicle-specific estimates take account of fitment, condition and the requested work. We correct website errors when found and clarify them before a new agreement is made; this does not permit changing an accepted price or avoiding an obligation imposed by law.
4. Diagnostics, parts and work scope
Tell us about known symptoms, warning lights, previous repairs, modifications and any relevant damage. A trouble code or remote description is a starting point for diagnosis; it does not by itself identify every failed part or the complete repair. Intermittent faults, concealed damage or multiple causes may require additional testing, which needs authorization if chargeable.
The authorization identifies the systems and work being assessed or repaired. An oil change, tire service or targeted diagnosis is not a full inspection or certification of the entire vehicle. Any additional repair, alignment, calibration or specialist work must be included in the agreed scope or separately authorized.
Parts must be suitable for the vehicle and intended work. The estimate identifies the parts and their condition as required by law. Customer-supplied parts require prior agreement; unsuitable or unsafe parts may be declined. Any applicable supplier warranty is additional to rights provided by law, and does not replace our responsibility for our own work.
5. Tesla and other electric vehicles
Pneus Empire is an independent service provider. References to Tesla or other vehicle brands identify vehicles we service; they do not imply manufacturer affiliation, endorsement or authorized-dealer status. We offer Tesla diagnosis and applicable mechanical services within the scope confirmed for the vehicle.
High-voltage battery repair, manufacturer warranty work, recalls, software access and specialized programming are not included merely because a Tesla diagnosis is requested. Work requiring a different facility or capability will be discussed with you. Battery-electric Teslas do not require an engine-oil change; the oil-change packages are for compatible combustion-engine vehicles.
6. Appointments, delays and safety
Our shop is open 24/7 for in-shop oil changes and mechanical services. Contact us before arriving so we can confirm technician and bay availability for your vehicle. Being open 24/7 does not guarantee immediate service. Timing depends on scheduling, vehicle condition, parts availability and safe working conditions. If arrangements change, we will contact you to discuss the next step.
Provide safe access, accurate vehicle information and any wheel-lock key needed for the authorized work. Remove unnecessary valuables and tell us about items requiring special handling. We may pause or decline unsafe or out-of-scope work and explain appropriate options. These requirements do not release us from responsibility imposed by law.
Contact us promptly to reschedule or cancel. A cancellation, special-order, pickup or storage charge applies only where lawfully disclosed and agreed, and remains subject to your statutory rights. Website information and online requests are not emergency dispatch. Call us for urgent service; use emergency services when someone is in immediate danger.
7. Warranties and service concerns
Québec law provides a repair warranty for covered automobile repairs costing more than $50: 3 months or 5,000 km, whichever comes first. It includes parts and labour and reasonable towing or roadside costs under the applicable rules. Other legal warranties may also apply. See the OPC’s explanation of repair warranties.
If you experience a concern with our work, contact us promptly with your invoice details, symptoms, mileage and the date you noticed the issue so we can assess it and arrange an appropriate response. Stop driving if it may be unsafe. Our assessment distinguishes the authorized repair from unrelated damage, ordinary wear or later events without limiting any warranty or remedy that applies.
8. Website use and intellectual property
Use the website and forms lawfully. Do not submit fraudulent requests, malicious files or another person’s information without authority, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the site. We may restrict abusive access while preserving legitimate customer communication and legal rights.
Our original website content and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party names, logos and images remain the property of their respective owners. You may view, link to and accurately reference public service information; commercial copying or misleading use of our branding requires permission. External websites are operated by their own providers.
We work to keep service information accurate, but general guidance does not replace a vehicle-specific assessment. Temporary website interruptions or a form error can occur; contact us by phone if you have not received personal confirmation. Handling of contact details and uploads is explained in our Privacy Policy.
9. Responsibility and applicable law
Our obligations concern the work we agree to perform and the responsibilities imposed by law. We do not assume responsibility for a pre-existing defect or an unrelated later failure simply by servicing the vehicle; responsibility depends on the facts, the agreed work and applicable law. This does not excuse damage caused by our work or failure to fulfil an obligation.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where prohibited, including for intentional or gross fault or bodily or moral injury, or removes mandatory consumer rights, legal warranties or available court remedies. No mandatory arbitration, class-action waiver or exclusive out-of-province forum is imposed. Québec law and applicable federal law govern, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you.
If a provision cannot be enforced, it applies only to the extent permitted by law and the remaining lawful provisions continue to apply. French and English versions are provided for accessibility; any contract-language requirements and mandatory rules remain applicable. An update to this page applies prospectively and does not rewrite an already accepted estimate or service agreement.
